About Cam Kennedy

Cam Kennedy is the owner and president of Pure Golf Performance Centre. Although he has decades of golf experience under his belt, his favourite memories of the game are also his earliest ones. At a young age, he began playing golf with his grandparents at the Thunder Bay Country Club. They helped to foster his growing passion for golf, and Cam competed in the Thunder Bay District Golf Association from the tender age of 8 all the way to 24.

At 16, Cam moved to Hilton Head Island in South Carolina to attend the International Junior Golf Academy (IJGA). When the IJGA turned into the Hank Haney International Golf Academy, Cam had the privilege of being taught by Hank Haney and his coaching staff for two years. Under their tutelage, he played tournaments on both the IJGA tour and the American Junior Golf Academy (AJGA) tour.

After the IJGA, Cam received a Golf Scholarship to Concord University. For two years, he competed in NCAA tournaments before deciding to reconnect with his roots by returning to Canada. For the next two years, he played for Lakehead University’s golf team.

Even after graduating, Cam’s passion for golf was unwavering. He moved to Toronto and was hired as a professional club fitter at the #2 ranked fitting company in North America, Tour Experience Golf (TXG). Cam worked under the guidance of his mentor and one of the best fitters in the world, Ian Fraser, completing over 1,500 fits over the course of 6 years.

Now, Cam brings that lifelong passion and experience to you through Pure Golf. He is a master fitter, certified to fit with every main club and shaft manufacturer, and delighted to spread his passion for the game back in his hometown of Thunder Bay.

About Evan Littlefield

For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Evan Littlefield. I am born and raised here in Thunder Bay. I am very excited to be able to team up with Cameron Kennedy and bring this opportunity to Thunder Bay. We are providing players a place to learn and get fit for something that is tailored for them right around the corner from home!

Through my life and golf career, I have been very lucky to have worked with some of the best golf coaches in our game, working with David Leadbetter, Hank Haney and Sean Foley for multiple years, learning the ropes of becoming a playing professional, as well as a teaching professional at some of the premier clubs across North America and using these experiences to mold the way I teach. Through my experiences both playing and working in the golf industry, shadowing some of golf’s top teachers, I have been able to adopt my own form of teaching, allowing players an easy way to understand the game and the swing, while offering a fun way to ultimately improve.

A little background of my golf career starts with me branching out of Thunder Bay to the United States in high school, to follow my dream this sport has inspired. I played NCAA golf at Western New Mexico University and graduated from the Niagara College Professional Golf Management program in 2016. While expanding my golf knowledge at school, I kept up with my playing ability, winning the Ontario Collegiate Provincial Championship back to back years, as well as winning the Canadian Collegiate Championship in my final year. After my schooling was finished, I embarked on my playing professional and teaching professional career, expanding my view on golf and seeing the many benefits a positive atmosphere can have on a player and their improvement. That positive atmosphere is what I plan on bringing to PUREGOLF and can’t wait to help you all enjoy this game a little more!

I am very excited to be able to bring my talents back to Thunder Bay, from working with beginners on learning the fundamentals, to those single digit players working on breaking their career low, and everything in between. Using both Foresight & Swing Catalyst technology, I am confident in being able to take your game to the next level while having some fun doing it!
