About Cam Kennedy

Cam Kennedy is the owner and president of Pure Golf Performance Centre. Although he has decades of golf experience under his belt, his favourite memories of the game are also his earliest ones. At a young age, he began playing golf with his grandparents at the Thunder Bay Country Club. They helped to foster his growing passion for golf, and Cam competed in the Thunder Bay District Golf Association from the tender age of 8 all the way to 24.

Pure Golf
At 16, Cam moved to Hilton Head Island in South Carolina to attend the International Junior Golf Academy (IJGA). When the IJGA turned into the Hank Haney International Golf Academy, Cam had the privilege of being taught by Hank Haney and his coaching staff for two years. Under their tutelage, he played tournaments on both the IJGA tour and the American Junior Golf Academy (AJGA) tour.
Pure Golf
After the IJGA, Cam received a Golf Scholarship to Concord University. For two years, he competed in NCAA tournaments before deciding to reconnect with his roots by returning to Canada. For the next two years, he played for Lakehead University’s golf team.

Even after graduating, Cam’s passion for golf was unwavering. He moved to Toronto and was hired as a professional club fitter at the #2 ranked fitting company in North America, Tour Experience Golf (TXG). Cam worked under the guidance of his mentor and one of the best fitters in the world, Ian Fraser, completing over 1,500 fits over the course of 6 years.

Now, Cam brings that lifelong passion and experience to you through Pure Golf. He is a master fitter, certified to fit with every main club and shaft manufacturer, and delighted to spread his passion for the game back in his hometown of Thunder Bay.
